33rd Paeroa Highland Games & Tattoo Programme
We have significantly expanded our variety stage, with Boom Boom Deluxe playing there during the day, along with a great variety of other acts.
All events continue throughout the day (unless stated). During the day, visit the Clans’ area to purchase Scottish souvenirs, check out your Genealogy, and try Scottish food. Children’s entertainment is running throughout the day, including Stilt Walkers. Our Highland Bar is located next to the grandstand, with a great view of the main arena. We also have a market brimming with local products.

| 9.30am onwards | Directline Freight – Heavyweight Field Events, Main Arena. See the strong guys Toss the Caber and throw the big weights. |
| 10.30am | Clans March inside the domain Followed by the Opening Ceremony of the 33rd Paeroa Highland Games & Tattoo is to take place in front of the Grandstand. It will commence with the singing of the New Zealand the unofficial Scottish anthem “Flower of Scotland”. |
| 11.00am – 5.00pm | Various Performers including Boom Boom Deluxe, and a great list of other entertainment Variety Stage. |
| 12 Noon onwards | Hauraki District Council – Pipe Bands Contest, adjacent to Band rotunda. Hear and see top Pipe Bands competing in their Sets & Medleys. |
| 4.30pm | SteamPunk Tartan, Variety Stage |
| 5.15pm | Street March, New route for the Street March ending with all of the Bands marching all the way into the Domain and through the castle. |
| 6.00 to 9.00pm | Evening Tattoo – 3 hour family spectacular! This year’s special guests are the Boom Boom Deluxe, Te Puna o Te Pito Mata (Thames High School) & Hamilton Caledonian Pipe Band. We have 10 Pipe Bands taking part in this years Evening Tattoo, as well as the heaving weight event like the Caber Toss and Farmers Walk. |
